Welcome!

So I’m finally up and running!  I’ve told some of you about this website now for over a year but I haven’t had the time (or energy) to get it done since I’m usually cooking, cleaning, or chasing after my three munchkins.  Lately, however, I can’t stop thinking about it so I’ve decided to just attack it and pray for the best!

There is an archive on the right that will get you current (once I’m up and running a bit) or there are three categories of information that you can choose from:

  • Reading With Your Children—-this is where I give my advice and ideas about reading with your kids based on my own experiences as a teacher and as a mom.
  • Writing With Your Children—this is where I give my advice and ideas about writing activities you can do with your kids.
  • What We’re Currently Reading—this is where I let you know what books my kids are  asking me to read again and again.

I’m going to try to update it once or twice a week.  You can also sign up for the RSS feeds to stay current and feel free to send me a note to let me know what you think.  I’d love to get people thinking and talking more about language and literacy which are my passions.  I’m sure the site will evolve as I learn more about how this all works and as I receive feedback from you.

My hope is that I  inspire you to run out, grab your kids, and snuggle up with a good book!
